Do the Saudi's support terrorism? If so, why? In Hatred's Kingdom: How Saudi Arabia Supports the New Global Terrorism, Dore Gold, former Israeli Ambassador to the United Nations, examines the Saudi involvement with Islamic terrorist. He painstakingly explains the ingrained hatred that the Saudi's have for Israel, the United States, and everyone who does not adhere to Wahhabism, a radical form of Islam that is followed in Saudi Arabia. This is explained, in part, by the Wahhabi belief that anyone who is not a Salafi (strict adherent to Wahhabism) is an enemy to Islam, and that the destruction of such enemies is a form of self-defense.

Dore also examines Saudi's support of Islamic terrorist groups, including the Taliban, Al-Queida, Hezbollah, and Hamas. In addition he takes an in-depth look at the Madrassas (Wahhabi religious schools) that the Saudi's have set up around the world. These schools serve as a means of spreading their form of radical Islam, and have been proven to be a fertile breeding ground for terrorist. In the process of scrutinizing Saudi support, both financial and substantive, Dore presents a detailed overview of the religious believes of the Wahhabis, along with a history Wahhabism.

Hatred's Kingdom is a chilling, and very timely book. This book will really make you question whether or not Saudi Arabia is really the ally of the United States that they claim to be. It will also make you question the role the Saudi's played in the events of September 11, 2001, and if they are implicated in the numerous terrorist events that occurred around the world both before and after the events of 9-11. This book is well documented, and the facts presented make it clear that the Saudi's do not have clean hands. Currently there is much speculation that the 9-11 hijackers, most of whom where Saudi nationals, received funding from members of the Saudi Royal family. If this turns out to be true, it will not be a surprise to Dore, or anyone who has read his book.

This book revels many of the 'skeletons' hidden in the closets of the members of the House of Saud (the Saudi Royal family) and why Saudi religious practices have recently become more radical. Once you begin to understand the reasons behind the Wahhabi hatred of non-Wahhabis, and how corrupt and repressive the Saudi government is, you can begin to understand how some people can perpetrate such horrific act of violence.
