Susie Fishbein, the Queen of Kosher cooking is back with a new addition to her best-selling Kosher by Design series of cookbooks. This new addition, Teens and 20-Somethings is designed to meet the needs, and tastes of young people and is perfect for young folks who are learning to cook as well as for anyone cooking for this burgeoning generation of perpetually busy young people.
This new cookbook includes 100 easy to prepare, teen and 20-something tested recipes that have not appeared in any of the earlier Kosher by Design coookbooks. As well, it is filled with mouth-watering illustrations of the various dishes, complete instructions on how recreate them, along with party and dinner planning advice and decorating tips. Fishbein has included tips on getting started in the kitchen, eating healthy, kitchen basics, and much more. Most of the recipes in this cookbook can be used by those having special dietary needs. In the margins of the cookbook, you will find icons that indicate if a given recipe is considered to be vegetarian, gluten-free, nut-free, and dairy-free dishes. You'll also find notations, in the recipes themselves, if a given dish is considered parve, dairy, or meat.

As well, all instructions are clear and easy to follow, making it easy for both novice and seasoned cooks to recreate these dishes. The pictures are gorgeous, and serve to give you not only an excellent idea of what the end product should look like, but also hints on how to present the various dishes. Kosher By Design: Teens and 20-Somethings is an excellent starter cookbook for those new to cooking, as well as for students and newlyweds who are setting up their own kitchens. It is also ideal for anyone looking for quick and easy dishes to prepare that will appeal to both the young and young at heart that you are cooking for. I highly recommend this cookbook, as well as all the cookbooks in the Kosher By Design series.
