Reviewed by Israel Drazin - September 7, 2011

This thoughtful book for children with nice attractive illustrations contains ten stories. Each tale is written with four line rhymes, such as the first.

The first story, for example, introduces readers to the Goodman family. The second, The Clock, to how they spend the day. The third, as a final example, The Washing Machine, has the machine discuss how it can tell what the Goodman children ate and what they played with during the day. The stories also introduce readers to some Jewish holidays and customs.

Dr. Israel Drazin is the author of seventeen books, including a series of five volumes on the Aramaic translation of the Hebrew Bible, which he co-authors with Dr. Stanley M. Wagner, and a series of four books on the twelfth century philosopher Moses Maimonides. The Orthodox Union (OU) and Yeshiva University publish weekly chapters of Drazin and Wagner's book Let's Study Onkelos on www.ou.org/torah and on www.yutorah@yutorah.org.
