Join Rina, Zisi, Mordechai, Miri, Penina, Eliezer, and the rest of the Cohen family as they prepare for, and celebrate, Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur! Stories About Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur is the twelfth book in The Children's Learning Series, by Menucha Fuchs. This delightful book, written for young readers, ages five - eight, is filled with a collection of short stories that follow the Cohen children as they prepare for, and celebrate Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.
These pithy stories will readily engage young readers, while also teaching them about these two significant holidays. The stories are filled with Yiddishkeit, and they highlight the joy and beauty of a traditional Jewish lifestyle. In all, this book contains six short chapters, each of which can be read independently of the others, or the book can be read straight through like a novel.
Stories About Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur is a perfect book for new readers to hone their reading skills, and it is also a great read-out-loud book to share with nonreaders. The only caveat is that the binding on this paperback book may be too fragile to allow pre-readers to handle this book on their own. For those old enough to appreciate the value and importance of a book, the binding is quite sufficient.
Stories About Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur is the twelfth book in the 20 volume Children's Learning Series. The books in this series can be purchased individually, or as a complete set. As well, all of the books in this series are stand alone books, and they can be read in any order.
