If a traveler sleeps overnight on an airplane should he repeat the Tefilas ha'Derech? One who is traveling and sleeps overnight must repeat the Tefilas ha'Derech when he continues on his trip the next morning. However that is only if he sleeps ‘Shinas Keva' (a heavy sleep). Sleeping on a plane is regarded as a ‘Shinas Aray' (a light sleep) and thus it is not necessary to repeat the Tefilas ha'Derech. If a person disembarks from the plane and sleeps overnight before continuing his trip the next morning he must repeat the Tefilas ha'Derech.
