Motza’ei Shabbos: When Is It Proper For A Person Change Out of His Shabbos Clothing?
The Kaf HaChaim says that the Neshama Yiseira does not completely leave a person until after Melava Malka. Based on this some are noheg to wear their Shabbos clothing until after Melava Malka. The Mishna Brura however says (263:8) in the name of the Sefer Aguda that one should wear their Shabbos clothing until after Havdalah. On the other hand it is brought down that the Terumas HaDeshen wore his Shabbos clothing until he went to sleep on Motza'ei Shabbos.
