Partial Fast For The Sick And Weak?
If one is too weak to Fast and has a heter not to, they may eat right away in the morning according to the Piskei Tshuvos. They need not fast as much as they can and wait until they absolutely need food, even if they have the strength for it.
Rav Elyashiv says that although they are not obligated to do so, there is a point to fasting until after midday saying the Tefila of Aneinu by Mincha and then eating.
